Mini Billiards
About the game
Mini Billiards is a casual pool game where you pull back the cue ball and release it to sink the target balls. You can climb through 6 challenge stages, practice alone on a full 15-ball rack, or play an AI opponent under standard 8-ball rules. Pot every target ball within the shot limit to clear a stage, and the more shots you have left, the bigger your bonus.
How to play
- Press and drag on the table to aim: the cue ball shoots in the opposite direction of your drag
- Drag distance sets the power; the longer the drag, the harder the shot, up to a maximum
- Release your finger or mouse button to shoot
- A very short drag is ignored, so an accidental tap won't waste a shot
- Touch on mobile and mouse on desktop work the same way; there are no keyboard controls
- Speaker button at the top: turn sound on or off
Tips
- Aim at the spot just behind the target ball, on the line that runs from the pocket through the ball.
- Sinking two or more balls in one shot adds a +100 Multi Pocket bonus, and using a cushion before potting adds +50.
- Potting on consecutive shots builds a combo: +50 for 2 in a row, +100 for 3, and +200 for 4 or more.
- Scratching the cue ball costs 100 points and potting a gray obstacle ball costs 50, so don't overhit.
- Every unused shot is worth +50 when you clear a stage, so take the sure shots first.
FAQ
Is it free? Do I need to install anything?
It's free and runs right in your browser with no installation. It works on both phones and computers.
How does scoring work, and when is it game over?
Each target ball is worth 100 points, plus Multi Pocket, cushion and combo bonuses. Clearing a stage gives 300 points plus 50 per remaining shot. If you run out of shots before potting every target ball, the game is over.
What are the rules in Play vs AI?
Standard 8-ball. The first group you legally pot (solids or stripes) becomes yours, and you keep shooting as long as you pot your own balls. Scratching, hitting nothing, or hitting the 8-ball or an opponent ball first is a foul and passes the turn. Pot the 8-ball legally after clearing your group to win; potting it early or on a foul loses.
Is my progress saved?
Your best score and best stage are saved in your browser's localStorage. They won't be kept if you clear browser data or play in private mode.
