About the game

Cannon Shot is a turn-based artillery duel where you and an AI rival take turns firing cannons. Adjust your angle and power, read the wind that changes every turn, and bring the rival's 100 HP down to zero first. Every blast digs a crater into the terrain, so you can also win by collapsing the ground under your rival and making them fall off the map.

How to play

  • Angle ▲▼ buttons: adjust the barrel between 10° and 80° in 2° steps (hold for continuous adjustment)
  • Hold the fire button: the power gauge swings between 20 and 100, and the shot fires the moment you release
  • Shell buttons: choose between the Normal shell (unlimited) and your character's special shell
  • Level button at the top: switch between Easy and Normal (starts a new game)
  • Use touch on mobile or mouse clicks on desktop for the same buttons (there are no keyboard controls)
  • On a phone, rotate to landscape for the most comfortable play

Tips

  • The dotted aim line shows the path with no wind. Check the wind direction and strength and correct for it yourself.
  • The Steel shell is barely affected by wind and deals big direct damage, making it great in strong wind.
  • The Bunker shell digs a huge crater, so aim at the ground under your rival to win instantly by a fall.
  • Your own shell can hurt you if you are inside the blast radius, so avoid firing into nearby terrain.
  • Every turn lowers your score, so go for direct hits and finish quickly for a high score.

It is free and runs right in your browser with no installation.

How is the score calculated?

You get 1000 for winning, 300 per direct hit, 100 per splash hit, 200 for a direct hit from 600+ distance, 500 for winning without hurting yourself, plus remaining HP x 5, minus 20 per turn played.

Is my progress saved?

Your high score, fewest turns to win, wins and games played are saved in your browser (localStorage). Clearing browser data resets them.

How do I get special shells?

Each game assigns a random character, and each character has one signature shell: Blast (3), Steel (4) or Bunker (2). When they run out, you switch back to the Normal shell.
